Rosie Byrne
actor & creator
About
Rosie Byrne was born into a tradition of performers. Her great grandfather immigrated to the United States under the pretense of a bricklayer. Rather than pursuing masonry, he pursued a life upon the Vaudeville stage. Rosie has similarly been unable to escape the pull of storytelling and entertainment.
After growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Rosie graduated from UC San Diego with a BA in Theatre. The Theatre Department awarded her with the Arthur Wagner Award for maintaining high academic standards while accomplishing high acting achievements. She also graduated with Departmental Honors with Distinction and Greek Honors, Magna Cum Laude. She was the first undergraduate to ever dialect coach a departmental show and now coaches and preps actors for auditions and roles in Los Angeles.
In high school, she was part of the Teen Council at Berkeley Rep Theatre School where she worked to raise awareness for Arts Education, leading her to speak with other students at TCG and advocate on Capitol Hill.
